In Spain, the 5th International Blood Drive Marathon expressed love for the Human Family giving the Sap of Life

Volunteers from the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Spain, participated in the 5th International Blood Drive Marathon called "Life is in the Blood", where the participation of many countries has made a difference to contribute in a culture of peace and solidarity with others.

In the cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Tarragona, activities were carried out in the health area, in hospitals, parties and fairs of municipalities, through mobile units located throughout the mentioned locations. In this sense, one of the places where the conferences were held was at the Bellvitge Hospital in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, where volunteers for Peace spent ten days doing several days of blood donation, during the International Marathon that was held through an arduous work of awareness in the student community, within universities, sports centers and the general population, to educate about the importance of donating voluntary, habitual and safe blood.

Thanks to the work carried out by the GEAP, the support of institutions and the participating public, together with the "Banc de Sang i Teixits", during the 5th International Marathon the successful collection of 4300 effective blood units was achieved, which prevail in sowing a culture of peace to benefit Spanish citizens and all the leading countries that host and participate in the health campaign carried out twice a year by GEAP.

Celebration of World Blood Donor Day

On June 14, the Global Embassy was invited to the official commemoration of the World Blood Donor Day in Vilafranca del Penedès, where the importance of the work of promoting a blood donation culture, carried out by entities such as GEAP and other organizations.

In a similar way, on this day those present listened to presentations on the importance of maintaining a culture of habitual blood donation, and the beneficial need to include other corporations to enable a healthy alliance and collaborate with the recovery and salvation of many lives.
