The GEAP participates in the Green Light recycling campaign with educational conferences

In order to raise awareness on the importance of recycling the Green Light campaign was carried out, in the community of Azul, Buenos Aires, where the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Argentina participated in educational conferences on "The 5Rs".

The movement is promoted by organizations of the province of Buenos Aires, among them, textile corporations Sudamtex and Dynamo Audiovisuals, the Civil Association La Oveja Negra, authorities of the municipality and the Deliberative Council, and the GEAP.

Directors of educational institutions opened their doors to receive this initiative that guides little ones on the subject of recycling, and also show them the benefits it brings to the planet Earth and the community.

Community and Education

Activists for Peace through the International Program Children of Mother Earth, developed the theme "The ecological rules of the 5Rs” for 376 students (4th, 5th and 6th grade) along with their teachers at school No. 6 Bernardino Rivadavia, who received the information.

At the same time, the Activists for Peace visited the EGB School Nº 28 Hipólito Yrigoyen, where they were welcomed by 141 students and their teachers, who received educational conferences in favor of Mother Earth.

The student community of both institutions put into practice what they learned by depositing plastic bottles in a bag, which will be taken to a factory to be reused, thus fulfilling one of the 5R’s.

Programs and campaigns

The Green Light campaign is a communication campaign to sensitize and raise awareness in the importance of recycling, it is aimed at recovering PET bottles (soda and water bottles), among other materials that are recyclable.

The International program Children of Mother Earth has the purpose of forming awareness for the peace of Mother Earth, forming human beings with environmental and sustainable responsibility; using, as a platform, the universal recognition of Mother Earth as a living being.
