Constitutional Court of Colombia receives the delegation of the International Judicial Forums “New Proposals for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide”

Dr. William Soto Santiago was accompanied by a delegation of judges of Supreme Courts and Tribunal Courts of Justice of Latin America, who were lecturers at the International Judicial Forums “New Proposals for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide”: Dr. Jenny Quirós Camacho from Costa Rica, Dr. Luis Antonio Ortiz Hernández from Venezuela and Dr. Victor Manuel Núñez from Paraguay; in addition to the Director of the Board Projects of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, Dr. Camilo Montoya, from Colombia.

The highest court of ordinary jurisdiction in the Republic of Colombia opened its Session Hall (Sala de Sessiones) in the Palace of Justice, at the Plaza de Bolivar in Bogota, to a special delegation of international coordinators of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, judges from several Latin American countries, speakers and special guests of the First International Judicial Forum “Justice for Peace” held in that city in September 2014.

She is Jahel Quiroga, a woman, who in the 80s, lived through the most terrifying persecution on account of her ideals and still does not know how she miraculously escaped an assassination attempt.

Jahel was part of the Patriotic Union, a Left Party founded in 1985, which was created as an integrated political proposal by various guerilla groups and members of other communities.

"It was going to be the means to end all of the internal armed conflicts, at least with the Farc guerillas, and they were incorporated into civilian life with all other sectors that were in the Patriotic Union."
 
But this desire for peace became the most cruel, brutal and systematic persecution of its members.

With these words, at 7:30 pm, Dr. William Soto, Ambassador of the Global Embassy of Activists Peace, officially closed the First International Judicial Forum that was celebrated on the premises of the Universidad Libre in Bogotá, on the topic: "New Proposals for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide."
