Solidary campaigns guarantee blood stocks to health centers
During the month of March, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, carried out blood drive marathons in the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León (UANL) through the Integral Program: Life is in the Blood”.
The campaigns were organized with the Centro Estatal de Transfusion Sanguinea (CETS NL) and were aimed to university students, teachers, administrative staff and society in general, with the purpose of promoting a save and regular blood donation culture, and guarantee the supply of blood to health centers.

The activities were performed in the faculties which conform the next house of studies:
Nurse Faculty
- Nutrition Faculty
Politic Science and Public Administration Faculty
- Economy Faculty
Culture of Voluntary Donation
These marathons are carried out with the purpose of contributing to the formation of a culture of a voluntary, altruist and regular safe blood donation, to increase an active and effective participation of the citizens, with the final purpose of guaranteeing blood supply to any person that requires it.
The Integral Program of Blood Donation: Life is in the Blood, developed by the GEAP, promotes solidarity, respect for human dignity, the enhancing of the quality of life, social justice, peace and the integral happiness among the human family.
