Mexico | The GEAP promotes a culture of voluntary blood donation

Through the PEC LIFE Communication Educational Program, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Mexico held sensitization sessions in June to strengthen the culture of voluntary, altruistic and regular donation of safe blood.

The talks were given in the family and community in the cities of Loma de Palma, Tierra Blanca, Cosoleacaque, Teziutlan, Villa Hermosa, Hueyapan de Ocampo, Poza Rica, Catemaco, Villa Ocuiltzapotlan, Centro, Tabasco and Veracruz municipalities.

 

To sensitize more effectively, GEAP volunteers visited various religious institutions and communities to give talks and present audio-visual material on voluntary donations as an act of love for others. (See participating institutions and personalities)

376 people received the educational program developed by the GEAP as one of the objectives of the Integral Program: Life is in the Blood. Data was taken and dates were scheduled to visit 11 different families.

Realization of the activity "COMMUNITY DONATING THE SAP OF LIFE"
Community Club PEC LIFE

After giving the community educational sessions in each region, the PEC LIFE community club was formed with people who committed themselves to support  future drives that are held in their respective communities.

A collaboration agreement was also made for the development of the educational sessions with Espiridion Gómez Avalos, delegate of the Villa Ocuitzapotlán community and Gabriel Hidalgo Jiménez, state coordinator of Tabasco.
