Act of consciousnesses: 98 Salvadorans voluntarily donate blood

El Salvador

In El Salvador, the consciousness and awareness-raising work of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), on the importance of voluntary, altruistic and regular blood donation, contributed to the total of 98 Salvadorans as voluntary donors.

Through the conference, the need to raise awareness and inform the public about the act to obtain greater participation of people in blood donation was highlighted. For this reason, the GEAP develops the PEC LIFE Communicational Educational Program, and prior to the blood collections it carries out educational sessions.

The activities were carried out in health fairs organized by different institutions and companies. Sessions were given at the Central American Technical Institute (ITCA - FEPADE), the Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman and the PLYCEM El Salvador company. Each day had a module where people received verbal and printed information.
