Costa Rican students aware of the protection of Mother Earth

Costa Rica

With actions that promote the protection of Mother Earth, activists for peace sensitized students of the Carlos Luis Valverde Vega School in Cartago, Costa Rica, with the International Program Children of Mother Earth, developed by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, GEAP.

259 first and second cycle primary school students received talks on Environmental Education, with topics such as: the importance of 5R, dictated by the GEAP, and Education to help the environment, dictated by Stein Laboratories.

The educational event was held in the Library of the Carlos Luis Valverde School, where students, teachers, environmentalists and peace activists shared a day of interaction and learning.

GEAP volunteers wore representative clothes of nature as part of the teaching dynamics to the participating students.

In addition to raising awareness and consciousness on the importance of caring for the environment, the activity allowed students to motivate and commit themselves to apply the 5R (Recycle, Reduce, Reuse, Reject and Re-educate).
