The Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Chile was present in the city of Quilpué, known as the “City of the Sun,” to celebrate World Wildlife Day, with the aim of raising awareness among the public about the care of flora and fauna.

With a parade that began in the street Carreras and Andrés Bellos to the Eugenio Rengifo Square, place where the environmental parade was installed, the Guardians for the Peace of the Mother Earth presented different ecological subjects through the informative modules.

Also, a great variety of representations of animals and trees made with recyclable materials crossed the zone, with the aim to sensitize the citizens on the importance of preserving the planet Earth and its species.

Caring and Defending

Publico ParticipanteThrough the 1st module, the Guardians gave a talk about the animals that are endangered at a national level, emphasizing the huemul, the Chilean puma, the flamenco, the black neck swan, turtle the frog, the fox chilote and the ñandú, among others.

Likewise, in the 2nd module, the topic “Our Mother Earth as a Living Being” was discussed; and in the 3rd module, the International Program Children of Mother Earth and the Environmental Movement “Guardians for Peace of Mother Earth.”

A signature for her rights

During the development of module 2, the Activists presented the proposal of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth, promoting the digital signature; resulting in a total of 30 participations.

The inhabitants of the region expressed that it is an urgent necessity to carry out actions for the benefit of Mother Earth, which has been mistreated by human beings, the main ones responsible for its deterioration; for this reason they are committed to safeguarding the environment.
