Global Embassy of Activists for Peace

The GEAP participates in the promotion of the Separa Project

Argentina

The Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Argentina received an invitation from the Secretary of the Environmental Management Office of the city of Tres Arroyos, Ricardo D’Annunzio, to schedule the workweek of the Separa Project.

This environmental program aims to raise the awareness of the neighbors of the district to remove the dry and moist waste at the source; this action will enhance and optimize the operation of the waste separation and recycling plant, inaugurated on June 24, 2016.

For D’Annunzio, the support of GEAP through the International Children of Mother Earth Program is very important, as this Organization does an excellent job within the schools, teaching children and young people to take action in favor of the environment.

Receptiveness of citizens

On July 2, the promotion of Separa began, where 13 GEAP volunteers posted posters in commercial stores, such as: clothing stores, footwear, supermarkets, among others. They also participated in the dissemination of the campaign through the media.

The activity had a great receptivity from behalf of the inhabitants of the community, who expressed the desire to join the project of separation of residues. In the same way, both institutions continue to work with the Separa campaign to involve each citizen in this project that benefits the community.
